Configure NIC

The can add your entries to configure the NIC in the following file

The syntax is ndd -set /dev/"interface" adv_autoneg_cap 0/1
ndd -set /dev/"interface" adv_1000fdx_cap 0/1
ndd -set /dev/"interface" adv_100hdx_cap 0/1
ndd -set /dev/"interface" adv_100fdx_cap 0/1
ndd -set /dev/"interface" adv_100hdx_cap 0/1
ndd -set /dev/"interface" adv_10hdx_cap 0/1
ndd -set /dev/"interface" adv_10fdx_cap 0/1

0 disable
1 enable
Interface : eri0, qfe0-3, ce, hme0 etc

Alternatively you can create a script in the /etc/init.d/ directory and
link it to the /etc/rc#.d, # can be 2 or 3 depending in which run state
you prefer

Firstly Check the status, speed & mode:...
# ndd -get /dev/qfe link_status
1 = up
0 = down
# ndd -get /dev/qfe link_speed
1 = 100 Mb
0 = 10 Mb
# ndd -get /dev/qfe link_mode
1 = Full Duplex (FDX)
0 = Half Duplex (HDX)

These commands are usually placed in a startup script
such as /etc/rc2.d/S99eri.

About to force 100Mbs Full Duplex (FDX) on eri: (Ex)

ndd -set /dev/eri instance 1
ndd -set /dev/eri adv_100T4_cap 0
ndd -set /dev/eri adv_100fdx_cap 1
ndd -set /dev/eri adv_100hdx_cap 0
ndd -set /dev/eri adv_10fdx_cap 0
ndd -set /dev/eri adv_10hdx_cap 0
ndd -set /dev/eri adv_autoneg_cap 0

These same thing do on diffrent ethernets...Hope you
