patch cluster you have look at

Have you installed the patch cluster available on I believe www.sun.com.
To tell what patch cluster you have look at
uname -a
there is a number separated by a dash, the first number identifies the patch
cluster, the second number (separated by the dash) is the patch cluster
version. There are usually 4 clusters released each year for each supported
Sun OS. If the latest cluster is 18 and uname -a gives you 04, you are about
4 years behind in patches.
The media kit from Sun, will have the latest patch cluster available at
build time integrated into it. So if you have maintenance, call them every
3-6 months and have them push you your FREE media kit (free only if you have
maintenance contract, and for each contract you can get Sol8, Sol9 and Sol10
each quarter).
